After studying Accountancy at Exeter University, I joined Price Waterhouse in 1981 where I qualified as a Chartered Accountant. In 1984 I left to join my father at the family firm, then trading as Roger Lark & Sons, and gained a myriad of experience working in various roles around the business. I became a partner in 1987 and then in 2000, following the firm’s incorporation, became chairman of Lark Group.
As chairman, I have a wide-ranging responsibility for general management and group strategy with a particular focus on acquisitions. I also have board responsibility for compliance.
Over the years I have enjoyed working on the many acquisitions we have made, helping to integrate them into our operations and culture and seeing the continued success of the business and the development of its people.
