Recognising that the show must always go on, Lark aims to provide a fast and efficient claims service that enables you to repair or replace musical instruments as quickly as possible.
You’ll be able to use a trusted repairer of your own choosing, and in the event that you can’t repair or replace your instrument like-for-like, you can instead receive a cash settlement – giving you the time you need to find something that has the perfect feel and tone for you.

The Claims Process
Here Gemma Stevens, Divisional Director, talks you through the straightforward claims process:
“If you are involved in an accident or loss, the first step is to report the incident to our in-house Claims team. This can be done by phone (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm GMT), email or by completing an online Musical Instruments Claims Form.”
“You will normally be asked for an estimate to repair damaged property, and these should be submitted with your Claim Form.
“Depending on the circumstances, we may be able to provide you with authorisation to proceed with repair work, or replace items immediately – but do not proceed until we have confirmed the authorisation to do so.
“Once you do get the go-ahead, keep any invoices or receipts – as they may form part of your claim.
“And of course if your claim involves theft, burglary or lost items, this should be reported to the Police, and a crime reference number obtained.”
A loss adjuster may be appointed for their expert skills in assessing certain types of claims. It is customary for insurers to assign a Loss Adjuster to assist with a claim that exceeds certain financial limits.
